FOUNDING

In 2011, I was on my way to a church meeting when the Holy Spirit invaded my car so strongly that I had to pull off the road.

I heard Him whisper the name, “Womens’ Apostolic Alliance.” I responded by asking Him who that was, and He very simply replied, “That is something you are going to birth.”

I had seen God manoeuvre me into my ministry against all odds - every prejudice, every bias, every misogany - to give me my place in ministry. I realized how daunting it is for women to be able to engage their ministry, but if God could do it for me, He could do it for others.

I realised He had given me a breakthrough anointing for women, so I determined to put that into action for their sake.

APOSTLE DR LYNNE HAMILTON

FOUNDER AND SENIOR LEADER OF WOMENS' APOSTOLIC ALLIANCE

Lynne Hamilton was born in Lancashire, England, the eldest of four children in a close-knit family. Realising her talent at the age of fourteen, she joined a band called the Desperadoes, who worked with many of England's top rock band performers.

At age sixteen, Lynne was offered a place in “The Caravelles”, a chart-topping female singing duo. She accepted and toured extensively throughout England and Europe, appearing in most of the top nightspots and cabaret venues, as well as every major TV show. A veteran performer at age twenty-one, Lynne decided to retire from the music business and move to Australia.

Several years later in December of 1976, Lynne accepted Jesus as her Lord and Saviour and responded to His call to take up her singing career once again – a calling that was to make Lynne the Australian success story of 1979. Her new solo career began when she released ‘On the Inside’, the theme song from the TV series ‘Prisoner Cell Block H.’ The success of this program resulted in ‘On the Inside’ receiving Gold Status, the No. 1 slot on the Music Charts, along with the coveted ‘Australian Record Industry Award’ (ARIA) for the Best Song by a Female Artist that year. The song went on to achieve further success in 1989, when it rocketed to the No. 3 position of the UK Music Charts, coinciding with the launch of the TV series there. ‘Prisoner – Cell Block H’ continues to enjoy success, still being shown both in Australia and in various countries throughout Europe.

Her musical career enabled Lynne to begin her ministry initially as an Evangelist. She has proclaimed the Gospel far and wide, in Australia, Europe and the USA, taking advantage of every opportunity the media has allowed to share the love of Jesus in her concerts and cabaret performances. After 12 years as an Evangelist, she transitioned into the Office of Prophet and was officially ordained in 1996. In May of 1997 she went on to found Forerunners International Ministries, originally known as Gold Coast Prophets. This ministry was birthed in response to God’s mandate to her to “Establish a Prophetic Stronghold” on Queensland’s Gold Coast – Australia’s major tourist centre and an environment encouraging and promoting much new age activity at the time.

Over the years, the Lord has used her to touch many people with the love of Jesus through her teaching, counselling and prophetic ministry. This powerful prophetic anointing on her life, and her sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, has enabled her to speak into the lives of individuals and to churches as a whole. 14 years on, she transitioned once again, this time into the Office of the Apostle, and has been functioning in this role since 2002.

She has written & conducts regular schools and courses in Australia and internationally to train and release people into their ministries, with a particular focus on equipping leaders, both male and female. Lynne’s passion is to help people find their exact place in life and to see people healed, restored and freed to enjoy God, life and relationships. Her present day call as an Apostle to the nations sees her increasingly in demand as a conference speaker, but also as a trusted enabler and help to those leaders seeking to build ministries on a strong apostolic and prophetic foundation. In 2012, she was given an honorary 'Doctorate in Divinity' from Team Impact Christian University, USA.
